Pocket Tracker is built on a "Local-First" architecture. All transaction records, account balances, and notes are stored in a private SQLite database on your mobile device. You own your data entirely.

2. Information Collection

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) through the app. The only data stored includes:

Transaction Details: Amounts, dates, fees, and notes entered by you.
Account Info: Names of your wallets (e.g., M-PESA, Bank) and current balances.
App Settings: Your preferred currency symbol and theme selection.

3. Permissions

The app may request the following permissions only to enhance your experience:

Storage: To allow you to export your data as a backup or CSV file.
Biometrics: To secure the app with your device's fingerprint or face recognition (managed by the OS).

4. Third-Party Services

We do not use third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising SDKs. Your spending habits are not shared with any external parties, including Google, advertisers, or data brokers.

5. Security

While we take every precaution to secure the app, the security of your data ultimately relies on your device's security. We highly recommend using a screen lock and not sharing your device with unauthorized users.
